Corporate e-waste collection standards

Clear arrangements for businesses requesting an electronics collection.

Collection service

  1. Eligible collections are free of charge. We’ll confirm collection eligibility, location and quantity with you first; our usual minimum is five IT items. Smaller collections can be discussed.
  2. If requested, we can carry out an on-site e-waste audit and record item serial numbers.
  3. Agreed recycling certificates and reports are issued within seven working days after collection.
  4. Collections are usually arranged within 24–72 hours of initial contact, subject to route availability and confirmation.
  5. We treat client information and collection details confidentially.
  6. Collections are handled in line with applicable environmental and workplace safety requirements, including the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
Your equipment, your instructions

You choose what happens to your stock

When we buy or collect your equipment, we’ll ask you to confirm how you want it handled before we process it.

Repair and resell

Choose this if you want suitable items repaired or refurbished and returned to the market for resale.

Permanently destroy

Choose this for items you want permanently destroyed. We can issue a destruction certificate after the agreed work is completed.

Destroy hard drives only

Choose this if you want the hard drives or other storage media destroyed while the remaining equipment is handled as separately agreed.

We’ll follow the option you select. We confirm your instructions before repairing, reselling or destroying the equipment.

Responsible asset handling

Destruction certificates

For agreed destruction jobs, Khulamin Trading can provide a certificate after the work is completed. It gives your business a written record of the items handled and the destruction carried out.

Depending on the job records, the certificate can include the client or company name, certificate reference, date, destruction method, item descriptions, quantities and recorded serial numbers.

Where physical shredding is the agreed method, the certificate can record that method. Please request a certificate and share any asset or serial-number list when arranging the collection.
